
In 2017, responding to the "China Milk Action" initiative by the China Dairy Industry Association, Yili collaborated with the Chinese Red Cross Foundation to launch the "Yili Nutrition 2020" poverty alleviation project. In 2021, the "Yili Nutrition 2020" project was upgraded to the "Yili Nutrition 2030". This project has focused on the two major strategies of "Rural Revitalization" and "Healthy China" . The three main actions of the project include donating nutritional food, disseminating health knowledge, and supporting sports activities. By 2024, the "Yili Nutrition 2030" project had covered 28 provinces in China, with a total sponsorship of over RMB 110 million, benefiting nearly 820,000 children.

Guarding Children's Dreams with Nutrition

In the Primary School of Gadzan Town located at an altitude of 3,123 meters in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, there is a group of children with dreams of playing football. They lack training facilities and professional coaching, but their passion for soccer is immense. To support these children's football dreams, in November 2022, Yili partnered with the Red Cross Society of China to launch the "Yili Nutrition 2030·Play for Love" project. Yili donated football equipment such as jerseys, shoes, and tactical boards, etc., to help the children achieve their football dreams.

The Dongxiang Autonomous County in Linxia, Gansu Province is situated in the hilly and ravine area of the Loess Plateau. In this remote town, there is a primary school named "Big Tree". On June 13, 2019, Yili collaborated with "the Hope Project" and visited Big Tree Primary School. We donated brand-new books, desks, chairs for study, and milk for the student nutritional support.

The "Yili Ark" project is a child safety and welfare initiative concentrating on primary school students. This project is a collaborative effort by Yili and the China Western Talent Development Foundation. It abides by principles such as "Safety always First " and " The best protection is teaching children to protect themselves ". The initiative offers comprehensive training covering nearly 20 safety topics, including the prevention of child abduction, abuse, traffic safety issues, natural disasters such as earthquakes and fires, as well as risks from drowning, riots, and stampedes. By 2024, the "Yili Ark " project has been in place for over 12 years. During this time, it has provided children's safety education to more than 600 schools nationwide, safeguarding the growth of over 380,000 children.

The Best Protection is Teaching Children to Protect Themselves

The Yutian Primary School, situated in Daguan County, Yunnan Province, faced safety hazards in its infrastructure before 2013 due to lack of funding. The "Yili Ark" project helped Yutian Primary School transform the campus into a "Safe Campus". The successful experience has since been used as a model for other primary schools nationwide.

On International Day of the Girl 2022, the "Yili Ark" initiative transformed knowledge of girls' safety education into a demonstrative gymnastics called the "NONO Exercise". The purpose of the "NONO Exercise" is to raise public awareness about girls' safety education. This demonstrative gymnastics has been promoted in "Yili Ark Schools" nationwide, as well as in countries such as Myanmar, Thailand, and Indonesia by our international offices.

In October 2022, Yili launched the "One Universe, One Childhood" Astronomy Public Welfare Project. This initiative aims to establish classrooms to enable students, especially those in remote regions, to study astronomy. The project ensures that these students have equal opportunities to access scientific and technological resources for science popularization. By 2024, the project had reached 6 provinces and autonomous regions, including Qinghai, Gansu, Guizhou, and Inner Mongolia, covering 60 primary schools. The project has donated astronomical science popularization teaching aids to more than 7,300 children to help them explore the universe.

In 2024, Yili initiated the "One Universe, One Childhood - Stargazing Together Initiative", collaborating with the National Astronomical Observatories to design and supervise China's first enterprise-funded wide-field survey telescope with dual-purpose scientific research and public education capabilities. This pioneering facility aims to nurture children's curiosity and thirst for knowledge about the cosmos, inspiring the next generation of astronomy enthusiasts.

August 2023, Yili organized an astronomical research learning activity for the students of the Sixth Primary School in Hezhang County, Guizhou Province. The students were invited to the "China Sky Eye" in Pingtang County, Qiannan Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province, to embark on a journey of cosmic exploration.
